The North Carolina Training and Technical Assistance Center provides training and technical assistance as a no-cost service with support from the NC DHHS Division of MH /DD /SAS.

 

Mission Statement

 

As a statewide agency, the North Carolina Training and Technical Assistance (NCTTA) Center provides workforce development, training, and technical assistance opportunities to substance abuse prevention stakeholders.

 

 

 

Our Vision

 

The North Carolina Training and Technical Assistance Center helps to establish a foundation of knowledge, specialized expertise and skill-building developing effective substance abuse prevention practices. The NCTTA supports service providers and professionals with the planning and achievement of their agency and workforce development goals.

 

 

 

What is Technical Assistance?

  • Provision of expertise beyond foundational knowledge
  • The development, implementation and improvement of policies, programs, services and supports that facilitate the well being of communities and their members

 

 

What is Workforce Development?

  • Provision of a foundation of knowledge for service providers and local Management Entities
  • Building on the foundation of existing knowledge creating conditions for staff and agencies to be successful
